Sprinkler Time!

This weekend was the first in a LONG time we have got to just stay home, so this weekend was much welcome.  However it was probably more needed then we expected as well.  Addi has been so sick since Wednesday, so we got to relax at my in-laws house.

My in laws got Addi a Little Tykes swing for her birthday, so we put that up on their back porch.  She liked it for the most part, but really since she wasn't feeling good all she wanted was Mama to hold me.  We also spent LOTS of time in the big pool and the kiddie pool, she liked it alot, but mostly wanted to be held by mama.

This is her "don't touch my daddy face!"
She's a daddy's girl, can you tell?

Nothing like a cuddle with daddy

Birthday Cake (DO OVER!)

Since little Miss Addi was so sick on her birthday and didn't even want to look at her cupcake, let alone touch it we decided to do a "do over" cupcake for her.  Today my daughter was yelling at me because I couldn't get the paper off quick enough for her to get it in her mouth, now that's the daughter I know.  No mess could make me more happy then knowing my little girl is feeling better.

Pure satisfaction

She needed lots of milk after that chocolate frosting!
Pool Bath!!

We spent all day in the pool or playing in the new sprinkler daddy & grandpa made (post to come later this week about that) so when she was so messy from her cupcake naturally it was time for a "pool bath."  It's now a summer tradition at Gram & Grandpa's house to fill the kiddie pool up with clean water and have our even bath outside.  Of course she loves it!  Who wouldn't like going done a slide is bubbles in the pool?!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Summer Fun!

As my last post suggests, I'm trying to come up with things to keep us busy once we move in with our in-laws and to occupy my ever busy (almost) toddler.  Here are a few of the "summer fun" things that I've found so far:

How great is this Garden Sensory Bin from Modern Parent Messy Kid
Flower Arranging Sensory Bin from Chasing Cheerios
Toddler Sewing Basket from Childhood101
DIY World Best Bubbles
Spray chalk paint-Not sure if she'll be able to do this, but it's worth a try!
Moon Sand from PlayBaseLearning

A lot of the ideas are things we already like, but other's are new "learning" activities as well.  The homemade bubbles have a "special" ingredient which I think will make them work better then traditional homemade bubbles and the sand seems like it might be easier to resist eating...maybe?!  We'll see.  I'm excited to try some of this stuff out though.

So much fun stuff out there!!! Right now my favorite site is Pinterest because you can see SO many great ideas from kids activities, sewing, photography, decor, cooking, and so much more all on one page.  It's (mostly) other women just throwing up awesome ideas with pictures, so you can see at a quick glance if it's something you would like or not.  I love how easy it is to find such fun things!
